Hey East Bay!  Wondering where to go to have the most impact on Earth Day? 

Join Creatrix Matrix at Brookfield Village School at 401 Jones Ave. Oakland, CA 94603.  I'll be participating in a very worthy service project, brought to our attention at Creatrix Matrix by Khariyyah Shabbaz of Higher Ground Neighborhood Development Corporation.  She's our featured Creatrix this week, by the way.  Higher Ground began a planting trees at the school on MLK Day of 2017 in partnership with Urban ReLeaf and several other local organizations. This is part of an effort to improve the air quality at the school which has seen an alarming number of students with respiratory problems as a result of the school property abutting the 880 freeway.  See the flier below for details on this fun way to help your community.
