OUR VISION

REPRESENTATION MATTERS.

My vision for Creatrix Matrix is to provide a space for women of color to be celebrated for our artistry, and also, to create a movement in the culture as a whole. A movement that eliminates the, "there can be only one" mindset, which dismisses talented individuals en masse because of some imaginary quota. Producers, publishers, and agents will look back and laugh at the idea that they ever worked under such constraints. This site is a catalyst for erasing the notion of surprise at the accomplishments women of color. We bring beauty to the world, we break boundaries, and we succeed in our chosen endeavors. My goal is that people see and know this as normal, rather than extraordinary.
